When I add a video clip before the music clip, the music does not play
with the new video clip. How can I work around this?
You need to add your song as a background track instead of as a clip. Follow these steps:
Click the
Music and Sound Effect Browser
button ( ).
Click and drag a song onto the project background, not on a clip or between two
clips.

The background turns green when the song is positioned correctly.
