Create a Custom Ringtone in iTunes
You can use iTunes to create a custom ringtone from a song in your library. This is useful for
Mac Pro FaceTime calls or if you have an iPhone and you want to use something other than
its default ringtones. You can also apply a custom ringtone to iOS events such as incoming
text and e-mail messages and calendar and reminder alerts, so this technique is also handy
for your iPad or iPod touch.

Create a Custom Ringtone in iTunes
In iTunes, play the track you want to use.
While the track is playing, watch the playback time and note the start time and end
time of the portion of the track you want to use as your ringtone.
