Yes, in some applications you can access the Character Viewer directly. For example, in
TextEdit, you can click
Edit
and then click
Special Characters
, or you can press

. This command is also available in Calendar, Contacts, Mail, Messages, and
Notes.
Is there an easier way to access characters that I often use?
Yes, you can add those characters to Character Viewer's Favorites section. (Note that this
section appears in the Character Viewer only after you have added at least one character
