Change the Outgoing Server Port
If you use a third-party e-mail account — such as an account provided by your website host-
ing provider — you might run into problems when you try to send messages. These problems
arise because, for security reasons, some ISPs insist that all their customers' outgoing mail
must be routed through the ISP's SMTP server. To work around this problem, many third-
party hosts offer access to their SMTP server via a port other than the standard port 25.
Change the Outgoing Server Port
Click Mail .
Click Preferences .
The Mail preferences appear.
