TIPS
What does a POP server do?
A message sent to you does not come directly to your Mac Pro. Instead, it goes to the
POP server that your ISP uses to handle incoming messages. When Mail checks for new
messages, it asks the POP server if any messages are waiting in your account. If so, Mail
downloads those messages but leaves copies of the messages on the server.
