Control When Mail Removes Incoming Messages
from the Server
If you use multiple devices to check your e-mail, you should configure Mail to not remove
messages from your ISP's POP server until you no longer need them. By default, Mail does
not remove an incoming message from the server until one week after you retrieve the mes-
sage. If you find you receive too many messages on your other devices, use a shorter inter-
val. If you find that you do not have enough time to view your messages on your other
devices, use a longer interval.
