Download a File
Some websites make files available for you to open on your Mac Pro. To use these files, you
can download them to your Mac Pro using Safari. Saving data from the Internet to your com-
puter is called
downloading
. For certain types of files, Safari may display the content right
away instead of letting you download it. This happens for files such as text documents and
PDF files. In any case, to use a file from a website, you must have an application designed to
work with that particular file type. For example, if the file is an Excel workbook, you need
either Excel for the Mac or a compatible program.
Download a File
Navigate to the page that contains the link to the file.
Click the link to the file.
Safari downloads the file to your Mac Pro.
