Connect a Fax Modem
If you want to send or receive faxes using your Mac Pro, you must connect an external fax
modem. Faxing has long been superseded by e-mail as the preferred way of sending docu-
ments and images. However, faxing still has a place in the world for those times when you
need to send a document that shows your signature or contains handwritten annotations.
Note that Apple's USB Modem is not compatible with OS X Lion or later.
Connect a Fax Modem
Connect the fax modem to a free USB port on your Mac.
