TIP
What is a file system?
It is a technology the operating system uses to keep track of the files stored on a drive,
such as a hard drive. FAT32 (The FAT part is short for File Allocation Table) is a relatively
simple file system used by some versions of Windows, whereas NTFS (New Technology
File System) is a more sophisticated file system used by Windows 7/8 and other higher-
end versions of Windows (such as Windows Server 2012). For the record, your Mac Pro
uses a file system called HFS+ (where HFS is short for Hierarchical File System).
