Grammar
When discussing the grammar of any foreign language you are learning, it is always import-
ant to understand that languages do not translate word for word. They translate as whole
ideas instead. You will find some of the differences in the language structure of English and
Spanish in this section. It always helps when learning a new language to be able to compare
it to your own. In this grammar section I have divided it into eight parts of speech: nouns,
pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and articles. I have also in-
cluded in this grammar section the categories of word order, diminutives, capitalization and
a list of conjugations of commonly used verbs.
