The minute you move among the French, you are engaged
in political discussion. Your cab driver will rail against the
current government, the gentleman at the next table at a café
will blame the communists, and the student in your train
compartment will condemn the bourgeois establishment.
Everyone will want you to have an opinion, too. And they
will be disappointed if you just agree with theirs.
