Incendiary questions about politics are perfectly acceptable
here. You can take any position you want, you can criticise
anything you feel strongly about, but be ready to distinguish
between something you don't understand and something
you can argue clearly.
The point of conversation is batting around ideas and
perhaps learning something. It is not about winning an
argument. The important thing is not to get 'stuck' in
your own ideas. Be willing to accept new reasons for old
observations. Studying culture, your own, or anyone else's,
takes a perpetually open mind. Remember, thesis, antithesis,
synthesis.
