■ Ensure that your database is in archivelog mode before taking an online backup. see recipe 2-3 for details on
how to toggle the archivelog mode of your database.

Step 4: Schedule Customized Backup
You should now see a screen similar to Figure 19-4 . If everything looks acceptable, click on Next to schedule
the backup.

Step 5: Review and Submit the Backup Job
You should now see a screen like Figure 19-5 . From here you can review the details of your RMAN backup job before
you submit it to run. You can see the actual RMAN commands that Enterprise Manager will submit to run. Click on
Submit Job to start the backup.
