How It Works
The Windows Task Scheduler provides a fairly straightforward way to configure scheduled jobs. The steps are
self-explanatory.
Windows also provides for a way to schedule jobs via the command line. To learn how, see Recipe 9-6.
Changing the Schedule of a Batch Job in the Task Scheduler
Problem
You want to change the schedule and/or other attributes of a scheduled RMAN batch job in Windows using the
Task Scheduler.
Solution
In Recipe 9-4, you learned how to schedule a job using the graphical Task Scheduler. That interface also lets you
modify jobs. Figure 9-7 shows how to arrive at the menu item to modify the task rman_full from the Windows
Start button.
