In-Depth Information
Hierarchical modeling. Chapter 11 introduces the idea of organizing graph-
ical primitives and transformation operators as nodes in a tree-like hierar-
chy. The chapter then demonstrates how to build complex objects where
users can control and interact with different components of such objects.
Appearance and intelligence. Chapter 12 introduces texture and blend-
ing, simple hardware strategies to increase the visual complexity of appli-
cations. This chapter also demonstrates how to apply simple linear algebra
to increase the apparent intelligence of our application.
