Delivery systems that confer higher levels of in vivo gene expression with minimal
toxicity should yield increasingly successful clinical outcomes. In order to achieve
safer and more efficient nonviral gene delivery, researchers are currently focused on
improving present available systems and developing new methods of gene delivery.
