Choose the Selector Tool. You're
going to perform a combination
drop-copy and horizontally flip
the copy at the same time. Click
the right center bounding box
handle of the path; while holding
CTRL (constrains proportions of the
selection), drag to the left until you
see a preview of where the duplicate
path will land. Then right-click
before releasing both mouse buttons.
Hold
SHIFT -
click
to end line.
6.
SHIFT and add the original path
by clicking it.
With both paths selected, drag one

of the path end points to meet the
other; you can do this with the
Selector Tool or the Shape Editor
Tool. You know you're in position
and can release the mouse button
when your cursor has a large plus
symbol at its corner.
Now that the two paths are a single

one, you can close the path at the
top by dragging one end point to the
other (the same as you did in step 7).
Hold CTRL and drag.
You now know, not only how to join paths, but also how to
close them so they can be filled. However, it would be a shame
not to complete the design. To visually integrate this elegant
shape into the composition:
1.
Fill the shape with any color you like, just for a
temporary fill.
Choose the Bevel Tool and just drag on the face of the
2.
shape. You change the bevel by pasting the attributes
from the existing dark green shape on the Design layer,
but before you can paste an attribute such as a bevel, a
shape already has to have a bevel, of any type.
Open the Object gallery on the Standard bar. Unhide the
3.
Design layer by clicking the Closed Eye icon. Click on
the Locked icon to unlock the layer and restore it to the
Arrow Cursor icon.
