In-Depth Information
Finally, there is both a manual and a precise way to
set the depth of an extruded shape. To do so manually,
display the object so you can see the side, the depth
of the shape. Then position your cursor on the side of
the shape, and when the cursor turns into a two-headed
(instead of a four-headed) arrow, drag to change the
object's depth. Or you can use the Extrude depth slider
to the right of the Extrusion parameter field when the
object (not a light) is chosen (by default, it is chosen) to
precisely increase and decrease the object's depth, the
distance between the front and the back of the paths.

Hey, you're doing okay for getting through only the first
chapter! This is but the surface you've scratched, so when
you're itching to learn more:
Place your thumb and index finger over the right page.
Your right thumb and index finger works best.
Pretend you're clicking Next Page, drag the page
180 degrees to the left, and read on.
