In-Depth Information
emphasizes a wiry physique, which he's able to bend in almost in-
human ways.
Movement: When in costume, Spider-Man crawls and crouches
like a giant arachnid, striking strangely insect-like poses. He hangs
upside down from his webbing, much like a spider does, and gen-
erally will not be seen just standing or strolling along, instead
moving in ways that are more “spider-like.” In combat, speed and
agility are his most notable talents, as he jumps, flips, dodges, and
strikes beyond what any human acrobat could hope to achieve.
His super-strength and resilience also come into play, as he is de-
ceptively powerful and can take much more punishment than a
regular person could.
Clothing: As Peter Parker, he wears fashion-oblivious, conservat-
ive clothing most likely picked out by his Aunt May. Oversized
glasses emphasize his nerdish appearance. As Spider-Man, his fully
enveloping costume masks the fact that he's just a teenager.
Weapons/Paraphernalia: Spider-Man's web-shooters can fire
their “webs” in a number of ways to form lines for swinging; snares
for trapping enemies; and even thicker, stickier webbing to be
used as an adhesive (for mounting his camera when shooting pic-
tures of himself as Spider-Man). Spare “web cartridges” are stored
in his belt, the buckle of which also houses a special Spider-Man-
themed flashlight/signal. And he also carries several “spider
tracers” that he can fire onto moving objects or people, to track
the target down via his spider-sense.
