tarflexor activity acting to push off the foot and cause it to rotate clockwise
about the metatarsophalangeal joint.
5.2.6 Interpretation of Moment-of-Force Curves*
A complete link-segment analysis yields the net muscle moment at every joint
during the time course of movement. As an example, we discuss in detail
the ankle moments of force of a hip joint replacement patient, as shown in
Figure 5.14. Three repeat trials are plotted. The convention for the moments
