Métro Connections: Key Métro stops in the Marais are, from east to west: Bastille, St.
Paul, and Hôtel de Ville (Sully-Morland, Pont Marie, and Rambuteau stops are also handy).
Métro connections are excellent, with direct service to the Louvre, Champs-Elysées, Arc de
Triomphe, and La Défense (all on line 1); the Rue Cler area and Opéra Garnier (line 8 from
Bastille stop); and four major train stations: Gare de Lyon, Gare du Nord, Gare de l'Est, and
Gare d'Austerlitz (all accessible from Bastille stop).

Line #69 on Rue St. Antoine takes you eastbound to Père Lachaise Cemetery and west-
boundtotheLouvre,Orsay,andRodinmuseums,plustheArmyMuseum,endingattheEif-
fel Tower.
Line #87 runs down Boulevard Henri IV, crossing Ile St. Louis and serving the Latin
Quarter along Boulevard St. Germain, before heading to St. Sulpice Church/Luxembourg
Garden,theEiffelTower,andtheRueClerneighborhoodtothewest.Thesameline,running
in the opposite direction, brings you to Gare de Lyon.
