Music at Mass
EachSundaymorning,threegreatchurchesofferaMass,generallywithgloriousmusic.The
Salzburg Cathedral is likely your best bet for fine music to worship by, and many Masses
are followed by a free organ concert (10:00 Mass, music program at www.kirchen.net/
dommusik ). Nearby (just outside Domplatz, with the pointy green spire), the Franciscan
church is the locals' choice and is enthusiastic about its musical Masses (at 9:00,
www.franziskanerkirche-salzburg.at —click on “Programm”). St. Peter's Church some-
times has music (at 10:15, www.stift-stpeter.at —click on “Kirchenmusik”). For more, see
the Salzburg events guide (available at TIs) for details.
Free Brass Band Concert
A traditional brass band plays in the Mirabell Gardens (May-Aug Sun at 10:30).
