hotels and business families bought it and established that it would never be used for com-
mercial buildings (a very early example of smart town planning). There was talk of building
a parking lot under it, but the water table here, between the two lakes, is too high. (That's
why the town cemetery is up on the hillside.) Today, this is a fine place to stroll, hang out on
the park benches or at Restaurant Schuh, and watch the paragliders gracefully land.
