In-Depth Information
The Berner Oberland Regional Pass covers most trains, buses, and lifts in this area
(and all the way south to Gstaad and Brig). It doesn't, however, cover the full cost of some
popular (and pricey) lifts and trains, such as the Mürren-Schilthorn cable car, and the train
from Kleine Scheidegg up to the Jungfraujoch. While it's likely to save you money over in-
dividual tickets, consider that it's not much cheaper than a Swiss Pass that covers the whole
country(4days-230SF,6days-290SF,8days-330SF,discountwithSwissPass,validMay-
Oct, www.regiopass-berneroberland.ch ).
The Jungfraubahnen Pass is more limited in scope, covering six consecutive days of
unlimited transportation in just the Jungfrau region. This pass covers most of the trains,
lifts, buses, and funiculars, with two exceptions: It doesn't cover the cable car that that con-
nects Stechelberg with Gimmelwald, Mürren, Birg, or the Schilthorn (though it does cover
the lift/train ride to Mürren via Grütschalp), and you pay half-price for the train between
KleineScheideggandtheJungfraujoch(210SF,160SFwithSwissPass,validMay-Oct,tel.
