Linking Trastevere with the Heart of Rome Walk:
You can walk from Trastevere to
Trastevere's church square (Piazza di Santa Maria), take Via del Moro to the river and cross

ahead for one block. Take the first left, which leads down Via di Capo di Ferro through the
scary and narrow darkness to Piazza Farnese, with the imposing Palazzo Farnese. Michelan-
gelo contributed to the facade of this palace, now the French Embassy. The fountains on the
square feature huge one-piece granite hot tubs from the ancient Roman Baths of Caracalla.
One block from there (opposite the palace) is the atmospheric square, Campo de' Fiori.
