The steel discs of this hydraulic disc cut into the soil and turn it over.
Discing breaks up the soil in a hard-packed arena to prepare it for harrowing.
An average 6-foot three-point disc will cost about three times as much as a pull-type
disc. Both, however, do an equally good job of discing. Old discs with box bearings should
be avoided because box bearings are very difficult to find today. It is best to stick with discs
that have sealed bearings.
