In-Depth Information
SHED : Removed.
STABLES : Stable 1: 24′×28′ (see page 88 for details); two 12′×16′ stalls open to the
south with pea gravel runs; 12′×24′ tack and feed room. Stable 2: Same as stable 1
except 12′×24′ tool and feed room instead of tack.
WASH RACK : Built on existing concrete pad, which was located in close proximity to
water source (well house).
PENS : 66′ diameter round pen, post and board, sand footing. The central south pen
separates the west and east pens.
RUNS : The long east runs can be joined to form one run the length of the property.
A run insulates the north pasture from the east run to separate horses if necessary.
The small run on the southwest border acts as insulation from neighbors' horses for
health and safety reasons.
FENCING : Cattle fences (barbed wire) were lined on inside with V-mesh wire using
existing fence posts and were fortified on top with electric wire. All new fences are
smooth wire or board.
LANDSCAPING : Pines along driveway for privacy, wind protection, and shade.
