Southern Mallorca
Unspoiled Sands
The south has a prize collection of beaches and limpid waters for diving. Loll on the
seemingly never-ending sands of Platja des Trenc, or cove-hop to coastal lovelies like
Cala Pi, Cala Llombards and the Parc Natural de Mondragó.
Coastal Ramparts
The high cliffs of the coast have spared much of the south from developers' bulldozers,
especially from Cap Blanc to Cap de Ses Salines. Illa de Cabrera is a treasure.
Mallorca's Mysterious Past
The island's prehistory is shrouded in uncertainty; Talayotic sites such as Capocorb Vell
and those close to Ses Salines offer insights into pre-Roman Mallorca.
