Northern Mallorca
Cap de Formentor
The northern crescendo of the Serra de Tramuntana is a peninsula of Tolkienesque moun-
tain summits, razor-edge cliffs and sheltered coves. Drive, cycle or hike it.
Cultured Towns
In the northern coastal hinterland reside two of Mallorca's most engaging midsized
towns: Pollença with its cobblestone streets and 365 steps to Calvari, and Alcúdia with
Roman ruins and defensive walls.
Glorious Beaches
The masses gravitate to the broad sands and crystal-clear water of the north's twin bays:
Badia de Pollença and Badia d'Alcúdia. Quieter coves punctuate Cala Sant Vicenç, Cap
de Formentor and Cap des Pinar.
