Ferry services connect Mallorca to the Spanish mainland and to Menorca, Ibiza and For-
mentera. Most services operate only from Easter to late October, and those services that
continue into the winter reduce their departure times. Most ferry companies allow you to
transport vehicles on longer routes and have car holds (this incurs an additional fee and
advance bookings are essential). If you are travelling with your own vehicle, be sure to ar-
