top west of the harbour, this estate was named for the 15th-century 'blind tower' (ie win-
dowless tower) that sits at its centre. The beautiful Mediterranean garden is home to a
collection of some 70 sculptures by greats such as Eduardo Chillida, Josep Maria Sert,
Henry Moore and Auguste Rodin. All guided visits must be booked in advance through
the tourist office.
Platja de Cala Agulla BEACH
(Cala Agulla) At the northern edge of town this horseshoe-shaped beach wraps around a
calm, pale-sand bay bathed by turquoise waters and hemmed in by hills blanketed in pine
trees. There's precious little development to be seen from the sand, but the beach itself is
packed with umbrellas for rent.
Just north of Cala Agulla is the quieter Platja de ses Covasses , where the lack of a
wide beach keeps visitors at bay.
Far de Capdepera LIGHTHOUSE
This lighthouse on Mallorca's easternmost tip is the endpoint of a lovely drive, walk or
cycle through pine forests; it's around 1.5km east of Sa Torre Cega. The lighthouse,
which sits 76m above the sea, began operating in 1861, and the views from here (all the
way to Menorca on a clear day) are wonderful.
Font de Sa Cala BEACH
South of Cala Ratjada is Font de Sa Cala, where the crystalline waters are perfect for
snorkelling. The serene beach is surrounded by a harshly beautiful rocky coast.
Cala Gat BEACH

East of Cala Ratjada harbour, beyond Sa Torre Cega, this fine little cove has a pretty
beach backed by pine forests and receives far fewer visitors than others in town.
Platja de Son Moll BEACH

Cala Ratjada's most accessible beach is the busy Platja de Son Moll, just in front of Pas-
seig Marítim in the centre of town.
