the neighbouring hilltops brings some fine vistas into play.

HIKING IN THE PARC NATURAL DE LA PENÍNSULA DE LLEVANT
Hikers are in their element in the Parc Natural de la Península de Llevant. A classic
walk leads from S'Alquera Vella d'Avall - where you can park - to the coast and a
little beach at S'Arenal et des Verger . Reckon on two hours' walking time. To reach
the same point from the east along the coast, you could start at Cala Estreta
(where it's also possible to park). This walk follows the coast to Cala Matzoc , on
past the medieval watchtower Torre d'Albarca and west. It takes another hour to
reach S'Arenal et des Verger. Beyond that, the coast becomes harder to negotiate.
At the main car park, close to S'Arenal et des Verger, a map highlights nine trails
totalling 25km through the park. Take the Ma3333 north of Artà in the direction of
the Ermita de Betlem and follow the signposted turn-off right at Km 4.7, from
where it's a further 600m to the car park.
