Trenc and island olive oil is the house strong point at this warm, traditional haunt. Or opt
for rice dishes like arròs melós amb guàtleres i bolets (creamy rice with quail and mush-

finca escape has a genteel ambience in its beamed dining room and flower-draped
garden. Farm-fresh ingredients and local sourcing are paramount in dishes like monkfish
with Serrano ham and fregola (Sardinian durum-wheat pasta) and Asian-style lamb with
mint yoghurt. Service is polished. The finca is 7km north of Manacor, off the Ma3321.
Shopping
Most visitors come to Manacor for the manufactured pearls, but you'll also find some
fine woodwork on sale. There's a craft market on Plaça Sa Bassa on Saturday morning.

jorica is the best-known Manacor pearl manufacturer. The company was founded by
Eduard Heusch, a German, in 1902 and now has its two-storey showroom on the edge of
town on the road to Palma. Upstairs you can see a handful of people working on the cre-
ation of pearls.
