In-Depth Information
Willy's Hamburger SNACKS €
(Carrer Joglars; snacks & light meals €4-8; 8am-2.30am; ) This snackeria in Platja de
Muro is a hit with locals for its ultra-fresh, homemade fast food. Despite being as busy as
a beehive in summer, Juan is always ready with a smile. Burgers are good, as is the
pepito de lomo (pork loin in a bap with garlicky aioli).
Como en Casa SPANISH €€€
( 971 54 90 33; www.restaurantcomoencasa.com ; Carrer dels Pins 4; mains €8-18; 6pm-mid-
night Tue-Sun) Tucked down a side street near the marina, Como en Casa always has a
good buzz and warm welcome. Snag a table on the terrace for dishes heavy on local in-
gredients and home-grown veg. We like the zingy, palate-awakening flavours in seared
tuna on kiwi-mango salad and the prawn skewer with pineapple, lime and coriander
salad.
Miramar SEAFOOD €€€
( 971 54 52 93; Passeig Marítim 2; mains €13-32.50; 1-3.30pm & 7-11pm Mar-Dec; ) Take
up a spot on the ample terrace of this waterfront classic (since 1871) for one of a broad
selection of paellas or fideuá (a paella-like noodle dish). Standard fish dishes (sole,
bream etc) are well prepared, while the groaning seafood platter is epic in scale and price
(€66.50 per person).
Restaurante Jardín MEDITERRANEAN FUSION €€€
€€€
( 971 89 23 91; www.restaurantejardin.com ; Carrer dels Tritons; tasting menus €85; 1.30-3pm
& 7.30-10pm Wed-Sun; ) Chef Macarena de Castro walks the culinary high wire at this
Michelin-starred restaurant, its smart interior out of sync with its nondescript villa
facade. Inspired by the seasons, the 11-course tasting menu brings nouvelle twists to es-
sential Med products, from a simple red prawn carpaccio to sea popcorn - all exquisitely
presented.
