charcoal-grilled meats. There's a play area for kids. Ca'n Cuarassa sits 3km south of Port

Stay INTERNATIONAL €€€
€€€
( 971 86 40 13; www.stayrestaurant.com ; Moll Nou; mains €15-42, 3-course menus incl water,
wine & coffee €34.90; 9am-11pm) This is a slick example of seaside chic, with an extens-
ive outdoor dining area on the pier. Yachties and their ilk hang here. Seafood is the strong
point, from simply grilled shrimp to local hake cooked in saffron sauce. It's classy but
casual, pricey but almost always worth it.
Bellaverde INTERNATIONAL €
( 971 86 46 00; www.pensionbellavista.com ; Carrer Monges 14; lunch menus €6-12, mains
€9.50-19.50; 8.30am-midnight Tue-Sun; ) Sit under the canopy of a fig tree on the
patio of this arty enclave, which hosts the occasional sculpture workshop. The kitchen
rustles up healthy, mostly vegetarian dishes, from creative salads to tofu curries to pump-
kin and goat's cheese lasagne. Kids are catered for, too.
La Llonja MEDITERRANEAN €€€
€€€
( 971 86 59 04; www.restaurantlallonja.com ; Carrer del Moll Vell; mains €13.60-67; 12.30-4pm
& 7.30-11pm Apr-Oct) Upstairs overlooking the water, La Llonja does seriously good sea-
food and meat dishes with splashes of creativity (such as the lemonfish carpaccio), al-
though the lobster stew (€67) is seriously overpriced. Downstairs La Cantina (
10am-11pm Apr-Oct) is far easier on the pocket for breakfast, snacks and sandwiches.
Drinking & Nightlife
Port de Pollença doesn't exactly go off. You have to feel for those somewhat lost-looking
adolescents wandering about late at night, dreaming of Ibiza clubs and wishing they
hadn't been dragged here by their insensitive parents.
