Flea markets, speciality markets and artisan markets abound in Palma. For handi-
crafts, head to the Plaça Major Artisan Market MAP GOOGLE MAP (Plaça Major;
10am-2pm Mon & Sat Mar-Jul & Oct-Dec, daily Aug & Sep) or Plaça des Meravelles Artisan
Market (Plaça des Meravelles; 8pm-midnight May-Oct) . A sprawling flea market (Avinguda
de Gabriel Alomar & Avinguda de Villalonga; 10am-2pm Sat) takes over theavingudeswest
of the city centre (Avinguda de Gabriel Alomar and Avinguda de Villalonga) each
Saturday. The Christmas market takes over the Plaça Major from 16 December to
5 January.
