In-Depth Information
gyros, wheel sensors, and pedometers are also used. Infrastructure such as flooring
can also include movement sensors using either mechanical or field sensing.
All this sensing capability together with the radio methods can be combined
by the technique of sensor fusion. It is a key element in the convergence needed to
deliver Whereness. If maps are also included within the fusion algorithms
performance is improved further.
