the exhilarating Taoist mountain of Hua Shan east of town.

On arrival in Guilin, head immediately down to Yangshuo to explore the re-
gion's stunning karst landscape. Have a room booked at one of Yangshuo's
hotels and spend a few days hiking and cycling around the region, journeying
