To get here, walk, cycle or catch bus 10 or 11 from the train station.
OTHER HILLS
Just west of Solitary Beauty Peak is Wave-Subduing Hill ( Fubo Shan; admis-
sion ¥25; 7am-6pm) , which offers more great views as well as the chance
to see Song- and Tang-dynasty Buddhist carvings etched into the walls of
Returned Pearl Cave ( Huanzhu Dong). Just south of the city centre is
Elephant Trunk Hill ( Xiangbi Shan; admission ¥75; 7am-6.30pm) , per-
haps best viewed from one of the bamboo rafts (about ¥15) that float down the
Li River.
