In-Depth Information
Climate
Hong Kong rarely gets especially cold, but it's worth packing something at
least a little bit warm between November and March. Between May and mid-
September temperatures in the mid-30s combined with stifling humidity can
turn you into a walking sweat machine. This time is also the wettest, account-
ing for about 80% of annual rainfall, partly due to typhoons.
The best time to visit Hong Kong is between mid-September and February.
Sights
Hong Kong comprises four main areas: Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, the New
Territories and the Outlying Islands.
More than 70% of Hong Kong is mountains and forests, with most of it in the
New Territories (NT).
