Fab Labs
Fab Labs are the educational outreach
component of MIT's Center for Bits and
Atoms (CBA), an extension of its research
into digital fabrication and computa-
tion. They often function as independ-
ent makerspaces and share a common
set of digital fabrication tools, including
3D printers.
TechShop
TechShop is a membership-based com-
munity workshop that has 3D printers
and other tools available for members to
use for a monthly or annual fee. There
are TechShop locations in California,
Michigan, Texas, Pennsylvania, and New
York.
