Linux (Ubuntu) enables you to fine-tune user settings.
No matter which account type and OS you choose, it's a good idea to password-protect it.
(An exception to that is the Guest account on a Windows system, which has no password
because it's by its nature accessible to the public.) Chapter 9, “Security and Access
Control,” discusses how to choose an effective password.
EXERCISE 6.1
Create a User Account in Windows 7
1.
In Windows 7, make sure you're logged in using an Administrator account type.
2. Choose Start Control Panel.

Under the User Accounts And Family Safety heading, click Add Or Remove User
Accounts. A list of the current accounts appears, like the one you saw earlier in
Figure 6.1.

Click Create A New Account.
5.
In the New Account Name box, type a name of your choice.
6.
Leave the Standard User check box selected.
