The command may display an information box alerting for better results with primitive
solids, and only prompts for object selection:
Command: MESHSMOOTH
Select objects to convert: Selection
The MESHOPTIONS command
The MESHOPTIONS command (no alias) controls default settings when converting
objects to meshes. The following areas are available:
Select objects to tessellate : This button allows you to select objects
to convert them with default settings. This option can replace the
MESHSMOOTH command.
Mesh Type and Tolerance : Mesh type can be Smooth Mesh Optim-
ized , which is an optimization defined by the command, Mostly Quads ,
which is mainly creating four-sided faces, and Triangles , which is mainly
creating three-sided faces. The following are the options available in the
Mesh Type and Tolerance area:
Mesh distance from original faces : This option specifies the
maximum possible distance from original to mesh
Maximum angle between new faces : This option specifies
maximum angle between normal to contiguous faces
Maximum aspect ratio for new faces : This option specifies
width/height ratio to new faces
