next commands. With value 1 (default), it creates meshes and with value 0 , it cre-
ates polyface meshes as in older versions.
These four commands create meshes from existing linear objects. The mesh density
in the first direction is controlled by the SURFTAB1 variable. The mesh density in the
second direction is controlled by the SURFTAB2 variable. These values must be set
before creating these meshes.
The RULESURF command
The RULESURF command (no alias) creates a mesh between two curves or one
curve and one point. It is not possible to generate a mesh between a closed curve
and an open one. The command just displays the current value of the SURFTAB1
variable and prompts for the selection of the first curve and the second one:
