In-Depth Information
Note
Application of these lights is not recommended with photometric lighting. But if
you still do so, upon entering the command, a box requesting confirmation is dis-
played.
As these lights don't have glyphs, the best way to select them is by the
LIGHTLIST command, presented later in this chapter. Then, the PROPERTIES
command includes all the parameters.
The WEBLIGHT command
The WEBLIGHT command (no alias) creates a web light. It is only available with pho-
tometric lighting. These web lights represent the light intensity distribution measured
around the light by manufacturers, thus being much more accurate than other lights.
The distribution information is provided in IES files. The command prompts for a light
location and a target location are as follows:
Command: WEBLIGHT
Specify source location <0,0,0>: Point
Specify target location <0,0,-10>: Point
We press the Enter key to exit the command or choose an option:
Enter an option to change [Name/Intensity
factor/Status/Photometry/weB/shadoW/filterColor/
eXit] <eXit>: Enter or option
The weB option displays several additional options: File specifies an IES file and X ,
Y , and Z allow us to rotate the light around the respective axis. The remaining op-
tions are similar to the previous commands.
