Note
Unlike other styles, the section styles list on the ribbon only allows you to specify
the default section style for new sections. It does not allow you to change exist-
ing sections.
Section view styles can be imported from other drawings with the
Design
Center
, using
Ctrl
+
2
.
Default styles
Metric50
and
Imperial24
cannot be renamed or deleted.
The VIEWCOMPONENT command
In some areas, cylindrical elements, such as shafts and bolts, should not be sec-
tioned. The
VIEWCOMPONENT
command (no alias,
Modify View
panel on the ribbon)
allows you to control which elements should not be sectioned. The command
prompts for the selection of objects, which must be on a section view:

Select component:
Selection
Then, we select one of three options:
Select section participation [None/Section/
sLice] <Section>:
Option
The options are:

None
: Using this option the component is not sectioned
•
Section
: Using this option the component is again sectioned, if it was pre-
viously removed
•
sLice
: Using this option the component is sectioned and background
edges are not represented
