Note
By default, the section view is placed perpendicular to the definition view. But, by
pressing and releasing the
Shift
key, it can be placed anywhere.
The VIEWSECTIONSTYLE command
When dealing with associative section views, several aspects are controlled by sec-
tion view styles, similar to other AutoCAD styles. The
VIEWSECTIONSTYLE
com-
mand (no alias,
Styles and Standards
panel on the ribbon) allows you to create
and managing section view styles. The command displays the
Section View Style
Manager
dialog box with a preview image, where you can activate, create, modify,
or delete section view styles.
When creating or modifying section view styles, a new dialog box is displayed with
four tabs:
•
Identifier and Arrows
: This tab formats the letter identifying the section,
arrows, and relative positions
•
Cutting Plane
: This tab formats lines defining the section plane, end, and
bending lines, and turns them normally thicker
•
View Label
: This tab formats the label placed near the section view
•
Hatch
: This tab formats the hatch corresponding to the cut part
