Previewing and printing
After specifying the layout, it is time for a last preview and to print.
The PREVIEW command
The PREVIEW command (no alias) displays a WYSIWYG ( What You See Is What
You Get ) preview of printing.
The PLOT command
The PLOT command (shortcut Ctrl + P ) displays the Plot dialog box. This box is sim-
ilar to the Page Setup dialog box and contains all elements specified on the page
configuration. The differences are: the Number of copies option, to print several
copies of the layout; the Plot stamp on option, to place the defined plot stamp; and
the Save changes to layout option, to apply any changes made on this box to page
setup.
Exercise 9.1
From a 3D mechanical model in millimeter (mm), we are going to configure a layout
and create four viewports. We want an A3 format sheet, printing everything back.
1. Open the drawing A3D_09_01.DWG .
2. A layout is going to be configured. Double-click on the Layout1 tab to
modify its name to A3-Assembly-4vp .
