In-Depth Information
Viewports are created in the current layer. After creating a viewport, the model is
represented with the same viewing direction and visual style, and zoomed to fit the
viewport. Obviously, the scale is not normalized but this will be set up later.
Options for this command are:
ON/OFF : To the selected viewports, ON displays the model, while OFF
turns it off.
Fit : This option creates a rectangular viewport that fits the printable area.
Shadeplot : This option allows to specify the visual style or render view to
the selected viewports, the default being As Displayed .
Lock : If we access the model inside the viewport and zoom in or out, the
scale factor is modified. To avoid this, we may lock the selected viewports
with this option.
Object : This option prompts to select a closed object and uses it as
the boundary of a new viewport. We may select a circle, ellipse, region,
closed polyline, or closed spline.
Polygonal : This option creates a polygonal viewport by specifying sever-
al vertices. We can apply some options similar to the PLINE command,
such as Arc to define arc segments.
Restore : This option creates viewports based on a viewport configuration
saved with the VPORTS command.
Layer : This option allows to remove all layer property overrides for the
selected viewports.
2/3/4 : This option creates 2 , 3 , or 4 viewports, by defining the distribution
and two opposite corners of a rectangle that limits these viewports.
The Lock and Shadeplot options may also be changed anytime with the Properties
palette:
