The CHAMFEREDGE command
As with fillets, we have a second command to apply chamfers, this one being more
dynamic.
The CHAMFEREDGE command (no alias) is available since Version 2011 and repres-
ents a dynamic way for chamfering edges. There is an icon for this command on the
Solid Editing toolbar and ribbon, Solid | Solid Editing . This command cannot be
applied to surfaces.
The command displays the current default distances and prompts for an edge selec-
tion, all on the same face, and is repeated until pressing Enter . A preview is applied
to the model:
Command: CHAMFEREDGE
Distance1 = Default, Distance2 = Default
Select an edge or [Loop/Distance]: Selection
Select another edge on the same face or [Loop/
Distance]: Selection
Select another edge on the same face or [Loop/
Distance]: Selection
Select another edge on the same face or [Loop/
Distance]: Selection
Select another edge on the same face or [Loop/
Distance]: Enter
The solid is displayed transparently. We press Enter to accept the default distances,
apply the Distance option, or click-and-drag the small triangular grips to dynamically
specify the distances:
Press Enter to accept the chamfer or
[Distance]: Grip dragging

Finally, we press Enter to end the command:
